FAQs
How do you help toddlers adjust to being away from their parents?
Separation can be big at this age, and our teachers handle it gently. We use consistent routines, familiar caregivers, and lots of comfort and reassurance to help each child feel safe. Most toddlers settle in quickly once they know what to expect and see familiar faces each day.
What does a typical day look like for toddlers?
Days follow a predictable rhythm that balances play, meals, rest, and outdoor time. Toddlers explore sensory and art activities, practice language and motor skills, and enjoy story time and music — all within a calm, structured environment that supports curiosity and confidence.
How do you handle challenging toddler behaviors?
We use a positive guidance approach focused on patience, redirection, and modeling appropriate behavior. Teachers help children name their feelings, practice empathy, and learn problem-solving skills in a supportive way — never through punishment or shame.
How do you support early learning and development?
Learning happens through play. Our teachers plan hands-on activities that promote language, fine-motor, and social skills while introducing early counting, colors, and creative expression. Every experience is designed to build confidence and independence.
How do you communicate with parents about their child’s day?
You’ll receive a short summary at pick-up that covers meals, naps, and highlights from the day. Our teachers also share milestones or new observations in person, so you always feel connected to your child’s progress and care.
Where independence begins and
confidence grows.
At Recess, we believe toddlerhood is a time for joyful discovery and steady support. Our caregivers nurture
curiosity and confidence through routines that feel familiar, engaging, and safe.
