From infants discovering the world to preschoolers preparing for school, our caregivers and teachers create environments where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to grow. Daily Experience
Arrival & Check-In
A calm, cheerful welcome sets the tone for the day. Teachers greet each child individually, help them transition from home to school, and make sure everyone feels safe, seen, and ready to play.
Learning Through Play
Children explore hands-on activities that spark curiosity and creativity — from building and art to music and sensory play. Every moment is designed to build confidence, problem-solving, and joy in discovery.
Snack & Mealtime
Nutritious snacks and meals are shared together, encouraging healthy habits, independence, and connection with peers. Teachers model routines that make eating relaxed and positive.
Rest & Recharge
Every child’s rhythm is honored with quiet, peaceful time to nap or unwind. Soft music, dim lighting, and cozy spaces help children reset and regain energy for the rest of the day.
Afternoon Discovery
As the day continues, children dive into creative projects, group games, and outdoor play. These activities nurture imagination, teamwork, and motor skills while keeping the afternoon light and engaging.
Wrap-Up
The day ends with reflection and calm transitions. Teachers help children gather belongings, share highlights from the day, and prepare for pickup with smiles and stories to bring home.

Can my child stay the entire day?＋
Yup! We offer everything from full-day care all the way down to by-the-hour. Whatever you need, we try to accomodate.
Can I choose part-time care?＋
Absolutely! Most families that use Recess are on flexible days and hours with part-time or half-week type schedules.
What does a typical day look like?＋
We follow a standard schedule of activities and blocks, but allow flexibility depending on who is present and what needs they may have.
Are meals included?＋
Parents are required to provide their own snacks and meals. This is to ensure health and safety, avoid illness or allergies, and ensure your child is recieving nutrious food that they’ll enjoy having.
What is your caregiver-to-child ratio?＋
We follow all state-compliant ratios, while also maintaining a small class format with no more than 12 children at any one time. There are always at least two (2) adults present at any time.
