Date Night at Recess
Our first two Date Nights are scheduled: Friday, August 14, 2026 and Saturday, August 15, 2026, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Parents actually go on a date; kids get a mini sleepover with dinner, a movie, and a wind-down to sleep.
Each night is capped at 15 kids (plus 2 backup spots in case anyone backs out). Date Night is open to active Recess members and books just like FlexCare — reserve your spot here and we'll charge your FlexCare funds through the app when the night is confirmed.

What a Date Night block would look like
Exact schedule, pricing, and locations depend on demand. Fill out the interest form above and we'll email you the moment we open the first Date Night.
- 6:00 – 6:45 p.m. · Arrival & DinnerKids bring their own dinner (or we may cater in a simple kid-friendly option) — a soft landing, no rushed handoff.
- 6:45 – 7:30 p.m. · Evening ActivityCraft, story, or dance party depending on the age group and the vibe of the night.
- 7:30 – 8:45 p.m. · Movie NightPajamas on, lights low, blankets and pillows out — a proper theater moment. We'll send out movie options in a survey so parents can vote.
- 8:45 – 10:00 p.m. · Wind-Down to SleepToothbrush, books, and quiet time. Kids are ready to sleep so the ride home is calm.

Date Night is scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026 and Saturday, August 15, 2026. Extending hours means dedicated staffing, dinner logistics, and a different rhythm than our daytime programs, so we want to confirm we have enough families signed up before we fully commit to running it.
Each night is capped at 15 kids. Once we hit 14 or 15 sign-ups, we'll open 2 backup spots per night — if anyone backs out, we'll notify the backup families in order. Reserving your spot below is the best way to lock in your place (and your backup spot, if needed).
Date Night is for active Recess members only. When the night is confirmed, your spot will be booked through the Recess app and paid for with your FlexCare funds — just like a regular FlexCare block.

Is Date Night open yet?＋

How is Date Night different from regular weekend care?＋
Date Night is an evening-only 4-hour block designed like a mini sleepover — dinner, movie, pajamas, wind-down. Regular weekend care runs during the day with more active programming.
What ages will it be for?＋
Ages 6 weeks to 6 years, grouped developmentally. Kids will be dressed for bed and ready to sleep by pickup.
What about dinner?＋
Plan to send your child with a packed dinner. If there's enough interest, we may cater in a simple kid-friendly option as an add-on — we'll confirm before the first block.
What would it cost?＋
Date Night will be charged through your FlexCare funds, just like a regular FlexCare block. You'll pay your standard FlexCare by-the-hour rate through the app when you book.
Do I need to be enrolled with Recess?＋
Yes — Date Night is only available to active Recess members. When the night is confirmed, your spot will be booked through the Recess app and paid for with your FlexCare funds, just like our other weekend blocks.
What happens if the night fills up?＋
Once 15 spots are claimed, we'll open 2 backup spots per night. If a registered family backs out, we'll contact backup families in the order they signed up. At 15 confirmed, the night is officially on.
