Date Night at Recess
A coming-soon Friday & Saturday evening program, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. — so parents can actually go on a date, and kids get a mini sleepover experience with dinner, a movie, and a wind-down to sleep.
We currently close at 8 p.m., but enough parents have asked us to stay open later on weekends that we're seriously considering it.

What a Date Night block would look like

- 6:00 – 6:45 p.m. · Arrival & DinnerKids bring their own dinner (or we may cater in a simple kid-friendly option) — a soft landing, no rushed handoff.
- 6:45 – 7:30 p.m. · Evening ActivityCraft, story, or dance party depending on the age group and the vibe of the night.
- 7:30 – 8:45 p.m. · Movie NightPajamas on, lights low, blankets and pillows out — a proper theater moment.
- 8:45 – 10:00 p.m. · Wind-Down to SleepToothbrush, books, and quiet time. Kids are ready to sleep so the ride home is calm.
Why we're testing this before we schedule it.
Extending hours means dedicated staffing, dinner logistics, and a whole different rhythm than our daytime programs — so we want to launch it only when we know enough families will actually use it. Registering your interest tells us which weekends to open first and helps us set fair pricing.

Is Date Night open yet?＋

How is Date Night different from regular weekend care?＋
Date Night is an evening-only 4-hour block designed like a mini sleepover — dinner, movie, pajamas, wind-down. Regular weekend care runs during the day with more active programming.
What ages will it be for?＋
Ages 6 weeks to 6 years, grouped developmentally. Kids will be dressed for bed and ready to sleep by pickup.
What about dinner?＋
Plan to send your child with a packed dinner. If there's enough interest, we may cater in a simple kid-friendly option as an add-on — we'll confirm before the first block.
What would it cost?＋
Pricing hasn't been finalized because it depends on demand and staffing. Registering your interest helps us set it and lock in early-access spots for families who signed up first.
Do I need to be enrolled with Recess?＋
Yes — Date Night will be available to enrolled Recess families, bookable through FlexCare like our other weekend blocks.
