Recess Drop-In Care (known to members as FlexCare) is licensed, professional childcare available by the hour — with the same trusted caregivers and teachers, structure, and safety standards as traditional daycare. Designed for modern families, it’s perfect for those times when your regular routine doesn’t quite cover everything.
Unlike a babysitter or a play gym, Recess provides true licensed childcare in a calm, creative environment. Whether you book same-day or plan ahead, every visit feels familiar and enriching for your child.

What ages can attend Drop-In Care?
From ages 6 weeks to 6 years old can use our facilities!
Can I book care for multiple children?
Yup! And there are also discounted rates when you book care for more than one child at a time, whether it’s on a schedule or drop-in care.
What should I bring for my child?
It depends on how long your child will be with us, but at the very least a water bottle, a snack and a change of clothes! If your child will be with us for more than a few hours they will also need a full meal and linens in case of a nap.
Are meals or snacks provided?
No food is provided. You will need to bring your own snacks and meals. We do this to limit the risk of allergies and illness as well as ensuring the food provided is of a liking to your child.
Is there a minimum or maximum booking time?
There is no minimum booking time; however, to maintain compliance we only provide up to ten (10) hours of care per day. In the event you need more than ten (10) hours on a given day, such as those that work 12 hour shifts, a letter from your employer will be required to meet childcare licensing requirements.
